INTRODUCTION

The Association of Surfing Professionals sanctions many professional surfing circuits including: The WCT, The WQS, and Speciality Events. The ASP has been dedicated to showcasing the world's best surfing talent in a variety of progressive formats and challenging locations since 1976.

There has been a distinct policy at ASP to stage events at legendary wave locations, in the right season; and the combination of top media coverage and great surf has made The ASP World Tour a truly enthralling event. Historically, the Association has attempted to stage events on metropolitan beaches with the objective of filling grandstands. While there are still some grandstand events on the calendar, there are also events in more remote locations, thus maintaining the public face of the sport as well as the all-important public accessibility to the world's best surfers. The ASP Archive collection is able to offer footage and exclusive access from all of these action packed tournaments.

The main thrust of The ASP Archive is to produce quality television broadcasting and daily highlight packages for The ASP World Tour, providing insane images of the world's elite surfing pros at the world's most dynamic surf venues.
