	In 1993, the first Fashion Week was held in New York and since then many other cities across the globe have followed suit with their own Fashion Weeks held throughout the seasons. Fashion Weeks are the foremost opportunity for designers to display their latest collections not only to the audience present but also to the media and ultimately the rest of the world. These entertaining Fashion Weeks can now be viewed in the IMG Fashion Archive.

INRODUCTION

Although Fashion Weeks are now held in cities around the world, all are unique in the designers they feature and the way that the shows are delivered. The premier Fashion Weeks include New York Fashion Week, Los Angeles Fashion Week, Sydney Fashion Week, Miami Swim Shows, Lakme Fashion Week, Moscow Fashion Week and the Armani Couture Show.

The Fashion Weeks are held twice a year in most cases, once in the fall and then once in the spring. Each of the weeks attracts numerous high-profile designers such as Oscar de la Renta, Zac Posen and Dolce & Gabbana. The fashion shows are always engaging, with many celebrities from the world of fashion present to experience the mood and the collections being modelled. Those modelling the designs often include supermodels such as Naomi Campbell, Gisele Bundchen, Kate Moss, and Heidi Klum, as well as high-profile personalities like Hilary Duff, Mischa Barton and Liv Tyler.

The IMG Fashion Archive contains catwalk footage from Fashion Weeks around the world dating from 2006. IMG Fashion Archive also possesses an impressive collection of behind-the-scenes footage and special features from the Fashion Weeks allowing for a greater insight into the backstage areas.
