SUPER 14
The Super 14 is the biggest rugby union club championship in the southern hemisphere and is broadcast in over 40 countries. Based on a franchise system, teams represent regions of the three participating countries. Four Australian, five from New Zealand and five teams from South Africa compete in total. The sides play each other once during a season in a round-robin format, climaxing in semi-finals and a grand final deciding the ultimate champions.
With fourteen teams from the best southern hemisphere rugby-playing nations competing against each other, the Super 14 guarantees to showcase some of the greatest players on the planet. Added with the fact that from 2008 the Super 14 integrated new rule changes designed to develop a faster, more free flowing game.
The Super 14 collection also incorporates its predecessor the Super 12 (footage available from 1996 to 2006).
